Opioid addiction is a health crisis that continues to escalate. To help the community understand the magnitude, we created an ambient display constructed of 4,200 pill bottles, each bottle representing 10 Americans lost to heroin and prescription opioid overdoses in 2016. The Opioid Memorial Wall was unveiled during a campaign launch event in downtown Denver, where several people affected by opioid abuse spoke and brought awareness to a community problem.

The Lift The Label campaign urges Coloradans to remove the labels and stigmas around opioid addiction that prevent people from seeking effective treatment. We filmed interviews with Coloradans about their personal experiences with opioids, the judgment they faced and how they ultimately found recovery.
